phatazzmoose Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 so correct me if im wrong, but the only difference between the GT and the Ultra is just a +.1Vcore and higher clocks for the Ultra...right? so by using omni extreme... just upping the 3D voltage by .1V and raising the clocks to 400/1100 and i have the ultra? fastclocks Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I heard a lot of Ultra owners flashing to GT BIOS. I guess the timing on the memory is tighter for the GT, where as the Ultra's timing is looser so it can run at faster speeds. Dont know if its true, but like I said lots of Ultra owners are flashing to GT bios.
Eva_Unit_0 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I can attest to that. I flashed my leadtek 6800gt to an ultra, but it actually benched lower at the same speeds than it did before. The mem timings are tighter on the GT, so I flashed mine back to a GT and just overclocked the heck out of it.
phatazzmoose Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 wow so the gt actually does better than the ultra nice so im gonna use the omni extreme editor now to up the voltage... what temps should i be afraid of?
