neddamttocs Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 for headphones i suggest sennheiser (or equivilent) if you need them just make sure they have surround capabilities as most sennheiser ar for monitoring (ie DJ's)

HoLoDreaM Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 is it possible to buy one of those i/o drives that come with the platinum edition for the audigy 2 zs?
Kash Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I finally decided to upgrade my old Sound Blaster Live! 5.1. I just ordered a Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS. I'm really into good sound, which is why I have a pair of Z-2200s (200W 2.1 setup, it's the Z-680s with 3 less speakers). I originally bought the Z-680s, but I had no room for all the extra sats, so I returned it and bought the Z-2200s. After some breaking in, they sound great. However, my sound card was definitely holding them back, since you could hear hissing and scratching every once in a while (this was on high 320kbps quality mp3s). I also ordered two pairs of headphones. Sennheisers for my comp and Shure e2cs for my iPod. I can't wait for this stuff to get in. James61 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Hate to say this but if you really were into good sound you wouldn't have bought either logitech speakers or a creative sound card
HoLoDreaM Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 i hear the turtle beach santa cruz's are good (i think thats how u say that card).. but i like the audigy 2 zs should be in in a day or two
gravy Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 personally i dont think you would ever notice the difference from an Audigy1 to the Audigy2 and up, and i was able to get an Audigy1(Audigy ES) for $40, great card for little $$
davidst Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Here's a audigy 2 cheap http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-102-179&depa=
James61 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 I put an audigy 2 zs in here purely for the fact it was 7.1 I removed the card in less than 3 hours, it was an awful soundcard, went back to my soundstorm. NEVER again will I buy creative.... they just seem to get worse and worse, if you want a nice card hercules make them

r_target Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 I'm pretty happy with my Audigy2, it certainly blows away SB Live or Realtek onboard. Don't really have anything else to compare it to however.
