Abit Ag8 2 Power Supplu Conections

Recommended Posts

So I have never put together a new pentium 4 system. And this new motherboard, has a long 24 pin power supply plug, and then a small 4 pin connection. the manual says there are two power connections. Do I need to plug in both? or can I only use the small 4 pin connection?

sorry for the dumb question.

You'll need the big ATX power connector as well as the four pin "P4" connector (which A64 uses now too). As far as 20 pin/24 pin compatibility, you'd have to look into that, as I haven't played with one. If you have a 24 pin mobo and PSU, then no prob, I guess.

plug the big 24pin connector into the big mobo socket,

then the small 4pin-er that probly says sumthing like p4 on it into the one near the cpu

plug in as much as possible. my system voltages are sooooooooo stable because of it and ur mobo will thank u if everything is filled

if ur still unsure, check ur psu manual
