phatazzmoose Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 this is probably obvious... anyway my bios has a ram divider...except its called Max Memclock since the highest value it will let me set is 200... will it not let my ram run any faster than that? anytime the ram speed gets to 201 or higher my system is completely unstable
r_target Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Usually this means you are running a 1:1 CPU/RAM ratio. As for why it won't OC past 200Mhz, this is probably due to the quality of the RAM, or your settings, or both.

zigen Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 i have valueram, my timings are set @ 3-3-3-11 @ 196mhz, try relaxing those timings, b/c they are rated stock at 3 cas.

phatazzmoose Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 ok so does one of the timings matter more than the others? ex. if 3-3-3-11 wont work... will 3-4-3-11 work better than say 4-3-3-11 or 3-3-4-11?
zigen Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 i dont think there is a 4 cas.
