spathalogic Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Hey guys, I've been recently having problems with my microphone volume; I have to scream into it to get out a normal amount sound that people can hear. I have the various microphone volumes adjusted to the maximum and I can't think of anything else that would even affect this. What else should I check on? Also another problem I've been having for about a year now is snaps, crackles, and pops in various sounds. It's not random either, it occurs all the time in some programs and never in others. I've also tried two sound cards (one onboard and a PCI one), 2 different sets of speakers, and a pair of headphones. So I'm thinking that I must've screwed something over somewhere... Thanks in advance for the help, now I'm off to do a bit of work .
airman Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 well...have you tried different microphones? perhaps you are overclocking and not locking the agp/pci speed?
spathalogic Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 I haven't tried different microphones and don't really have the money too. I have the agp/ pci locked. Is it possible my headset (microphone is there) is interfering with my sound to give it the weird anomalies? Hrmm... I'll test this out later.
