LiquidForce Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I have an email account through DeVry. We use outlook exchange. Could someone tell me the best way to locate the incoming and outgoing server names so that I can set up Tbird to be my mail client for that email address. Thanks
sdy284 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 you should be able to poke around in the options of outlook and find the servers
LobbDogg Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 First Queston. Does Thunderbird allow you to connect to an exchange server? If not then good luck with that. I've never used thunderbird so I can't tell ya if it does or not.

LiquidForce Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 no, I mean Outlook Exchange. I'll just ask the IT guys here at school for the names of the servers... btw how do you quote?
LobbDogg Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 btw how do you quote? 405109[/snapback] Click Quote on the person you wish to quote, the box will turn orange, then click add reply. So like I said before, make sure Thunderbird supports connecting to an Exchange server, being that Exchange is a Microsoft product, Thunderbird may not be able to. Just double check that. sdy284 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 you prolly just have to get a extension for it. thunderbird can check hotmail, pop3, yahoo, gmail, and those are just the ones I have it checking! who knows how many others it checks...
