wanksta Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 what replaced the z-640s in the logitech lineup, was it the x-530s? ......... if so is the bass out put on the x-530 the same due to the sub design change or is it more or less? and what is one of the cheapest (alos fairly nice) 5.1 computer speakers with a digital co-axial in? lilkev715 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 (edited) I am not sure about the z-640 replacements, but I do know that the z-680's (getting harder to find online) and the z-5500's (updated version of the z-680's) have both a coaxial input as well as a toslink optical input. I have seen the z-680's as cheap as $200 while the z-5500's go for $270+. I prefer the z-680's over the z-5500's because you can use standard speaker wire. On the z-5500's the speaker wire is directly hardwired to the speakers. Edited January 26, 2005 by lilkev715
