Boggs30 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I did not get a thermal pad w/ mt AMD 3500 939 90nm. Can I use thermal grease (Arctic Silver 5). Where can I get a pad instead? My understanding is that AMD only recomends using the pad. Please help

PineBark Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Thermal pads are crap. Never use them! thermal paste is much better.

fastvfr Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 AS's Ceramique has tested out to be a lot more efficient than AS5, BTW. It dropped my temps by 4C when I made the switch.
