virus Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Ok so I want to buy the BFG 6800 gt at a store, well the only two stores that carry it are Bestbuy and Compusa. Now apparently BFG is completely out of cards or something, becuase neither of the stores have had them in stock for awhile. Best buys website keeps telling me there in stock at certain stores, so I call to make sure, and nothing. Its been doing this for a couple weeks now and im freaking sick of it. I have come to the conlusion Best Buy sucks and will never have the card in stock. They suck anyways. And its basically the same with Compusa except that I cant call them the entire thing is automated, the only option you get to talk to someone is the manager. So I cant even find out if they have it in stock without going to the stores. Now that I just made you read through all of that. lol. I can go to Micro Center right now and buy a EVGA card for 399.99.. So my question is would you still wait to get the BFG for that lifetime warrenty or would you go with EVGA right now, with the 1 year warrenty? And I will be overclocking as soon as I get it, have EVGA's been known to hit ultra speeds? I guess half of this is a rant, sorry. Its just getting fustrating. <_<
henbenley Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I'd probably wait for a BFG, but I'd speak to the manager at compusa and tell them that you want to know whether its in stock or not. And if he doesnt tell you then keep bugging him until he finds out (call him back every 30sec - 1min). Or I'd order it online somewhere, if thier in stock.
