fishtankfish Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 www.steelpad.com and in the products section you will find the Steelpad S&S Sk Gaming Edition. This pad rocks like no other. It made my scores in UT2K4 jump up by an average of 40 points. 400020 wow, $40 for a mousepad is a lot.
Pyrthas Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I've been looking at that Steelpad, too. I'll probably pick it up eventually, but I'm cheap and I rarely play anything that requires that much precision, so it'd be for fun more than anything. Kamikaze_Badger Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Get a GS. It's cheap, and it has a very nice surface. When paired up with some Func Anti-Friction Liquid, it . owns. BTW: Smoother surface = more friction.

fishtankfish Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 What what what?! Am I just out of it or does that sound wrong to anyone else? 401160 Actually, from a physics point of view that makes sense to me. Because there is more surface area touching (smoother because the surface is flatter on a microscopic level) the mouse then there would be more friction against the two. Kamikaze_Badger Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 It's a double edged sword, really. With heavier mice(such as the MX1000), then you may want more surface area for the weight to be spread out with. However, we don't all have 20 pound mice.
