wtf, apparently HP is now using fake AMD processors on there machines,

 

so far ive seen a 2900+ :blink:

 

and a AMD 64 3300+ :huh:

 

 

funny thing is they both have 256 l2 cache so the rating is foolign customers along with uninformed sales employees

 

bet buy sells them along with outer HP retailers i just noticed this crap in my store and tryng to get my manager to pull them off the floor

I've seen this also, I want ot know what chip it actually is. If you have access to them, try to pull the heatsink off and grab the numbers to see what chip they are really putting in their machines.

I'm gonna have to go to besty buy and chech this out myself...sounds like it might be another lawsuit against hp...

just load up CPU-Z on it, and see what it says.

 

those HP heatsinks are nearly impossible to take off. they use coolermastes with no groves in the clamps to remove them with a screwdriver.

apprently not

 

hps have been known that their heatsinks will fall off inside the box..this has happend 4 times since semptember(when i started working at best buy) :blink:
