wamason Posted January 5, 2005 Hey everyone, I'm looking at buying an Athlon XP-M to overclock a bit. I've heard that the 2400 (35 Watt version) is the cream of the crop. But I've also heard that getting the faster versions give more headroom to overclock. I'm trying to decide between a 2400 35 Watt, and a 2600 45 Watt. They are within $2 of each other in price. I'd like to get the most performance for my two dollars Any help would be appreciated.

InvaderTrax Posted January 5, 2005 Most 2400m's max around 2.4-2.5, but the 2600m's tend to hit up to 2.

Ziggy54354 Posted January 6, 2005 get the 2600M. Ive got mine at 2.5ghz with 1.7v. I wouldn't doubt that this thing can go up another 200-300mhz
