wamason Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Hey everyone, I'm looking at buying an Athlon XP-M to overclock a bit. I've heard that the 2400 (35 Watt version) is the cream of the crop. But I've also heard that getting the faster versions give more headroom to overclock. I'm trying to decide between a 2400 35 Watt, and a 2600 45 Watt. They are within $2 of each other in price. I'd like to get the most performance for my two dollars Any help would be appreciated.
zigen Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 (edited) i would say the 2600 because its faster stock and like you said got more headroom to OC. bah i want a mobile now stupid locked 2800+ giving me bad luck if i go 1mhz over 2.4ghz Edited January 5, 2005 by zigen

InvaderTrax Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Most 2400m's max around 2.4-2.5, but the 2600m's tend to hit up to 2.
