I can hear mine whirring, and stopping then whirring on again every 5-10 seconds. It's going out very soon. I have an ATI SLIENCER 4, so clearance is crucial. Everything will be fairly snug. If you are running a external HDD from firewire and it is used a lot, streaming and stuf that wouldn't be a bad idea.
