AMDuSer Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Well I hate to bring it up again about me looking into cooling solutions and all but every time I see water cooled vs. a Thermoelectric (Peltier) setup I or the combo of the two I can't help but wonder if this has ever been thought of and if it would be a good idea. Well what about this. Instead of going with one or the other or the combo of both has anybody came up with a good Peltier setup that could connect to the Radiator of a Water Cooling system thus making the Radiator Cooled at all times instead of having the fan(s) trying to BLOW like hell through the Radiator to help regulate the water temperature? Sure you can still keep the fans there but wouldn't having the Radiator "Refrigerated" make some sense as well? I'm sure this might produce some problems such as condensation but then again so would using a Water/Peltier Block on a Processor but they have a work around for that it seems. With some thought I have a few ideas for work arounds for condensation from the radiator but I'm getting a bit sleepy right now since I work the LATE shift and need my . I'll expand on those in a later post most likely tomorrow. Not sure if this has been discussed before but just thought I would throw it out there and see what other info you all can throw into this. Thanks for Listening....
Ronin Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 yes its been done before. Sucessfully with very good low temps. Water cooled pelts are much better then air cooled pelts...or so Im told. anyone have anything else to add ? (ie a link or somthing)
AMDuSer Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Ok last post I swear. I know they have Water Cooled Pelts. What I am getting at is not using that and just your standard water cooling system your basic water block. I want to know if a Pelt has ever been added to the Radiator of a Basic Water Cooled system to "Refrigerate" that unit to help the Cool the water as it passes through it to be cooled. I would just think it would cut down on costs as far as having to buy a WaterPelt for your CPU and your GPU if you went with that option as well. Did that make better sense? If not I'll sleep on it and try to explain it better.
