bigred Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 there are actually 3 cores used in semprons. 754: 3100+, 1.8ghz, 200mhz fsb, 256k L2, disabled (bad) 64 bit extensions, Paris core (failed newcastle) 2600+, 1.8ghz, 166mhz fsb, 256k L2, diabled (bad) 64 bit extensions, Paris core (failed newcastle) 3300+, 2ghz, 200mhz fsb, 128k L2, disabled (bad) 64 bit extensions, winchester core socket A: 2200, 2300, 2400, 2500, 2600, 2800, 166mhz fsb, 256k L2. Guest FxXP Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 You forgot about the 2800+ for 754, 1.6 GHz. There are "two" 1.8 GHz Semprons for 754, the 128K cache 3000+ falls short of its 3100+ brother.
bigred Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 you're right. the 754 family of semprons has been growing like weeds lately.
Guest FxXP Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Now if we can have a dual-core Sempron, that would be nice.
Buckwell Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 so Semperons are decent cards for there price my 2600 is a 2500 barton?????
Guest FxXP Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 CPU's are not cards. Chips is a more relative term to them. The Sempron 2600+ and 2800+ are T-Bred based models, the 3000+ is from the barton core. Codename Palermo (90nm) for Sempron 754 is from the Winchester core. http://www.amdboard.com/sempron.html
guilliam Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 cpu cards?? he might be referring to the cpu's during the intel's mmx days when a cpu is a "card" slot type? isnt it? (",)
