mini me Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 currently i have the Western Digital 120GB 8mb cache, i really don't think it can much better than this. The down fall was that the WD hard drives only offer transfers at ata-100. Maxtor has a new series out diamond max plus 9 which offers the 8mb cache and the 120gb and the ata133. my quesiton is it worth it, and if so where can i buy
mongoose Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 Wow, that drive sounds crap sexy. Im going to definitely order one of the maxtors instead of the western digitals now. As far as performance between ata100 and ata133 their is most likely very little difference. But every little bit counts right? Also, If anyone is wondering the exact link to the product is here: http://www.maxstore.com/searchcat.asp?search_id=6#38 Running two of those 120's in raid will make for one uber sekseh fileserver.
