phatazzmoose Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 well i used the one that came with it...foxconn something then i used all copper one...bigger HS but same size fan then i tried the Thermaltake Slim Volcano 10 it still wont run under
zigen Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 ahh those HSF are WEAK !!! lol try a volcano 12, volcano 11, some thermalright ones...get a fan with LOTSA CFM's and is the airflow in your case any good? i got 8 case fans and a volcano 9 hs with a 34cfm 80mm fan and i never go above 42C and my 2800+ is @ 2.4ghz with 1.8 vcore. so i bet its the airflow... phatazzmoose Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 lol very nice ok this is my wifes comp... and the case she had got stuck with has ONE like 60mm fan... maybe smaller... on the back exhaust. so i put one 80mm on the front... replaced old 60 with an 80 on the back... and rigged up another one on the side... case temp is 29C... zigen Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 (edited) the case temp seems a bit high...mine is always around 20C. u could try a new hsf with a fan that puts out ALOT of cfm's edit: is it a small steel case? cuz it may be trapping hot air in there Edited December 2, 2004 by zigen
phatazzmoose Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 (edited) actually its not a small case its a normal size midtower with plenty of room actually the 29C temp was with it laying sideways and both of the side panels are off EDIT: holy crap... the system temp is 38C and the cpu temp is at 51C i put in Halo and played for 2 minutes EDIT AGAIN: im sitting in BIOS and have been for a couple minutes... temps are steady 38/50 for system/cpu Edited December 2, 2004 by phatazzmoose
zigen Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 i suggest u try a new hsf combo like a thermalright and a tornado
