third tinker in a row. this ones only 100 frames, but if the last one is anything to go by, it should be about 2 weeks before its done.

 

why do they keep sending me tinkers? what have i done wrong?

I'm guessing that you have a slow computer. Change the settings in the console to not allow any large WUs and accept timeless WUs.

 

Zigen, Tinker is the name of one of the simulation cores used in [email protected] It normally runs large WUs (work units) that normally come with a lot of points.

already done both of those. before i got the last one. (400 frames/ 1 month)

 

and no, i'm not running it on a PII. its an AthlonXP 1600+ at ~1.53 @ 1.875v.

The TINKERS core is an older [email protected] core, written in Fortran.

if you dont want tinkers, i'll swap them for any crappy gromacs i get! i know ya dont like them, but they are all relative unless there is a time limit on them.

You should be happy to get Tinkers- your points/week will be higher than with most Gromacs, plus your AMD system will do better on Tinkers than Gros.
