Vampire Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 Why would you want to flash that card, its already top of the line. Usually people try to flash their video card to attain the same clocks and performance of the more expensive card. For example, people with an X800 pro sometimes try to flash their cards to an X800XT PE since the cards are almost identical. Basically flashing unlocks the cards potential, but it doesnt always work. X800 pros etc are sometimes just rejected X800XT's, so flashing their BIOS to the X800XT one may fail, you could risk damaging your card but the odds are it will be fine. Basically theres no point in flashing that card since theres nothing to flash it to, if however you had an X800 pro, flashing it to an XT PE may yeild brilliant results, but then again it may blow up in your face (not literally..... I hope ).

GregP24 Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 IF you were thinking about the X850, it's a different core from the X800. The X850s are only clocked at 540/590, a speed easily attained by the 'older' X800 XT PE.
hardnrg Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 an x800pro-vivo can be flashed to an x800xt-pe because it is the same core... that's the only thing i can think of for the x800 series
E Fudd Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 X800 plat should do benchmarks at 602 MHz (download ATI TOOL TRAY) and test it. In my humble experience if it doesn
