Uk Calling

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I'm a newbie to overclocking, but less so to computers. I built my ancient (but still current :( ) rig yonks ago. Now it is creaking under the weight of the apps and games I want to run.

So I will be checking the forums to find a cheap and chearful setup that I can sweat for all its worth ... after all, that's what this is all about right?! ;)

Good wishes to you all.

I'm from near Oxford on the Thames :) . Pretty quite area and (shock horror) we only recently got broadband :P .

Makes a big difference to that 56k modem rubbish.

I'm setup wirelessly now.

welcome to the OCC

good to see another BOO (brit on occ) - im from southampton but studying at liverpool uni....we get a 10 megabit internet line.... going back to broadband is 20 times slower and almost 20 times as painful :(

enjoy your stay and ignore ALL comments about Llamas...

Hey thanks everyone!

It's real nice to be made welcome and when I find out where the OCC IRC chat room is I will surely head over there :-).

It's been quite a revelation looking through the forums and reading people's thoughts on different rigs. I guess we all have experiences to share, myself included .... I fried my first processor this year :D .

(It's almost like a right of passage when modifying/building your own rig).

I did something really really stupid, but hey I'm not proud.
