PineBark Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I have an Athlon 2500+ with a locked multiplier. I was able to reach 200mhz only by increasing the voltage up to 1.81. I think its a little too high. Is that voltage bad for my CPU? My temps are fine.

PineBark Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Something not right. It crashed 20 minutes later at 1.81, while its stable at 190Mhz and 1.75. 0_o

PineBark Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 My temps are fine. 53C at full load (Prime95 while playing games) and about 45C idle. Yes, i have set the auto shut down on 75C.
zigen Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 (edited) i think that may be your problem... 53C isnt good for an OC'ed chip... my 2800+ OC'ed to 2.375GHz is full load of 41C and idle is 34C and also u may have just gotten a bad OC'er of a chip Edited November 30, 2004 by zigen
PineBark Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 It doesn't even boot if the voltage is less than 1.81. I don't think its the temp problem. And 53 isn't bad even for an overclocked chip.
zigen Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 put volt @ 1.81 then
