shuRe Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 I have a temp probe glued to the side of the cpu (the metal silver bit), and am reporting temps of 27C idle. This seems slightly low to me, but the HS base does not feel warm nor cold. How much do you think the temp would increase for the core temp? kobalt Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 First as your title say, how accurate is your probe. To know for sure test it with your own temp, stick the end in a cleaners plastic bag (just the corner of it lol) i say those bags cause they're so thin, and stick it under your tongue (of course dont swallow the plastic bag lol) anyway, the temp reported will be the usual human temp and now you know how off your probe is As for the core VS the side of the chip, who can really know, you'll have to beleive your bios temp, those i think are taken from the chips core
