Vasto Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 If I have this set of RAM: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-141-424&depa=0 Can I have this set of ram? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-145-026&depa=0 Also, do you want the LAT to be higher or lower? PineBark Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 They should work. But you won't be able to run them in dual-channel. And the latency should be as low as possible, but on those rams its pretty good (could be lower tough).
Vasto Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 What would I need to run them in dual channel?
kurosen Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 using only 2 sticks of RAM of the same type is how you use DUAL channel
PineBark Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 (edited) They have to be exactly the same. Same speed, amount, brand, latencys etc. EDIT: And you also need to know if you'r motherboard supports dual channel.
