fon1 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 (edited) Hi, I am a complete nOOb to linux, I have put Suse 8.2 on my second hard-drive (Multi-boot)but am having probs detecting my modem i try setting to all the different ports tty01? and the like trying to dialup in between, but with no luck i delete those settings and try with another. Any advice about this or opinions of which Version to use, I have found this version user friendly for my first.. no second attempt at Linux, first when 8.2 was new. Zarkhalar Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I did a google search, but found no results for the modem and drivers for linux :/ My best guess is that you try to either find a tutorial on setting up a basic moden on suse, or search websites like http://www.freshmeat.net/ for utilities that will set it up for you, in case you don't have one already...
