Zarkhalar Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Oddly, I have no audio devices, says the windows. But, I have two sound cards. One seems fully detected, but the other one isn't whatsoever The one that isn't getting detected is my Sound Blaster Live! LS, the one I'd prefer to have working. Oddly enough, every driver I try to install fails. All the sb ones, including the '330+mb cd' file, haha. If anyone has a solution, or an idea where more information than that can be provided, please let me know
hardnrg Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 why do you have two soundcards? disable/remove one of them
GTSticky Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 remove one of them until you get the first one fully working, THEN put in the second one (if you must abuse yourself trying to get 2 sound cards working) and try it. Zarkhalar Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Meh, I think you misunderstand... I have one sound card, but two audio devices, aka A built in sound system on my motherboard The motherboard one is detected but still I get "no devices" I'll try rebooting and removing the sound card and trying just the other audio, but I doubt it will work :/
hardnrg Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 no no, i did understand... disable the onboard audio by going into the bios... it's rubbish anyway compared to a soundcard (unless you have soundstorm, and even then it's debatable) so disable onboard, and it'll probably be nice n easy to set up your real soundcard
