What's sideband addressing and fastwrites? should I turn them on?

In the BIOS, AGP apperture is set to 64, what's this?

what driver are you using? right click anywhere on desktop, choose properties, choose settings tab, click advanced button, then you should see a tab like mine says, "Ti4200 with AGP 8x", click on it, in the bottom there are numbers, see where mine says 6693 at the end, what does your's say at the last four digits? thats your driver version

I had the same problem after upgrading my platform from nforce to nforce2. No matter what I did in the bios, in windows my card only worked at 4x or pci bus. I ended up reformatting and installing winxp pro again, I have never had a problem since.

you need to go into your bios and make sure things are set correctly for sure, it could also be motherboard chipset drivers are not installed or need to be updated, check the abit forums for other people with the same motherboard and see if there's anyone else with the same problem, i am assuming that the NF7-S supports AGP 8x, and i dont believe they have made a 6800 PCI card.....

it could also be a bad driver install, happened to me last night, i am running nav 2005 and have to disable the auto-protect temporarily until the driver is done installing in order for it to install correctly

also try using driver cleaner 3 if the above doesn't work
