ccokeman Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 If you are going to use it on the rig in your signature dont. Its only got 15a on the 3.3v line and 19a on the 12v line.
visK Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 What would happen if i did ? What would u suggest ?
r_g Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 are you going to do the external ps with your shuttle?
markiemrboo Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 If you are going to use it on the rig in your signature dont. Its only got 15a on the 3.3v line and 19a on the 12v line. Woah... that seems a tad low for a 500W. Even my 470W has 33A on 3.3v, 16A on 12v1 and 15A on 12v2 supposedly....
visK Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 yes sir , this will be an external psu. How about this one then ? http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4071212 Same company , 600W +3.3V@20A, +5V@45A, +12V@24A ?
anthony Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 that is stil pretty low amps on the rails, look for something with higher amps
markiemrboo Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Probably alright. But.. my 470W still has 3.3V@34A, 5V@40A, 12V@31A (combined)....apparently? I'd probably spend the extra bit of money and get something known to be very good, on that site.. http://shop4.outpost.com/product/3381762 or something, dunno about everyone else? jkdmaster Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Some one on here said that this PSU would be good for Ocing, now people are saying no?
ccokeman Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 I use this one . 35a on the 3.3 line 35a on the 5v line and 33a on the 12v line .
markiemrboo Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 I've got http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-103-446&depa=0 newegg don't seem to list both 12v lines though, just 12v1.. it's also got 12v2, just used for devices like hard disks, graphics cards, fans.. whatever.. which is 15A. Are these like absolute peak values that it can only handle for like a second or something? Our 460/470W things seem to be kicking that 600W where it hurts...repeatedly
