humboldt Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Ok here is the setup Asus P4C800E deluxe P4 3.2 Northwood FSB @ 226 getting 3.6 with that I know the 3.2's dont OC very well but I was hoping to get a little more. I can change the memory timings....I just dont know which way to go. Do I want to lower the numbers i.e. 2-2-2-6 or raise them 2.5-4-4-8 ???? Oh I bumped the V to 1.
markiemrboo Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 If you think it is the RAM that is holding you back, you want the higher numbers. 2.5-4-4-8 or whatever.
Coolzero101 Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Loosen them to the max, then OC to the max, then tighten them as much as possible after OCing.

When you say "loosen" I assume you mean to raise the number i.e. from 2.5-2-2-8 to 3-4-4-8 or something like that right, sorry but this whole loosen-tighten verbage is throwing me off. Loosen= higher numbers tighten= lower numbers Correct?
