Freeder Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 I've never seen anyone really using them, but their website actually makes their VIA mobos seem pretty awesome. Does anybody here uses them? Are they pretty good?

Eva_Unit_0 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 They are good chipsets for stock speeds, but they do not overclock worth a crap. Very few of their chipsets have agp/pci locks, and those that do simply do not overclock as well as others. Though I have plenty of boards around here that run via chipsets, and I have no other complaints about them. I much prefer the older via chipsets to the buggy amd/intel chipsets from the same time period. (intel 820, anyone? AMD 761?) Nerm Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 yea they are ok for everyday stock uses, but for anything else i wouldn't suggest them.
