hiph0pan0nym0usx Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 (edited) im trying to watch a movie on my pc (requim for a dream if your wondering). and when i go to watch it there are blue and red specs that come into it. its not on there 24/7, but most of the time. and it just bugs like no other. does anyone know what the solution to getting rid of them is? im thinking it could be a codec problem. does anyone know anything about this. thanks in advance. andrusk Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 (edited) andrusk was that his question? No. Does this concern you? No? Piracy is against the rules of the forum, and unless you wanna support breaking the rules, I suggest you take the side of the rules. I dont have a problem with helping somebody, but you should never mention if you're doing something illegal, just say " I cant get a video to play correctly" Anyway, back on topic. Maybe you could try updating your video card drivers? Does it happen when you play the video on different video players? Maybe you could try getting a different version of the divx codec, like the nimo codec pack? CNUco2007 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Just so you know, it is not illegal to make copies of copyrighted material. it is only illegal to distribute it. there's nothing wrong w/ making backups of your own DVD's and stuff. I don't know if that's what was going on here but lets not jump to conclusions... newayz... Is this only with a single divxx file? if its only a problem w/ that file, it may be a bad encoding, meaning its not a problem with your computer but with your file. If it does that with any divxx file, then its prolly your computer. Have you tried using any other program to play the file? it could be that program. well, just some ideas. peace!
