humboldt Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 OK so I dug out an old AMD 800 box for folding. The only os that I could put on this machine was windows NT. What the heck to I have to do to get it to work with DSL of course my DSL cd says OS not supported
Eva_Unit_0 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Anything that supports basic networking should be able to use DSL...it simply connects to the computer via a standard network connection. But if you really can't get it to work with NT, then you could always use some linux distro. It's free, fast, and doesn't suck like M$ products do. humboldt Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 It appeats the problem is this. The original NIC card was factory installed with windows 98 se. I put NT on it because that is the only software disk I have, brother lost my xp. So anyway I tried to download the driver for the NIC card and copy to cd then run that driver on NT but NT is so stupid it wont see the driver or cab files.
