Bboy Satch Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 See in my sig. the system i have. I was wondering how long before i actually need to upgrade to like a new cpu and everything to keep up with times. Most of my friends have like 3 year old computers and they don't plan on even upgrading:S Maybe i can just upgrade parts in my system to last me awhile? FunkyMonkey Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 well it depends on what your doing for gaming maybe upgrade to a 6800gt or 9800pro if your low on the cash, and some ram everything else seems fine
Silverfox Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 well, hope that XP isn't suddenly dropped (ie, not supported - not that it will for a while) woot! join the "odd" 768mb club you might get extended life from that P4....i reckon it'll go to 2.85....my 2.53 will go to 3.04 on standard air cooling.... but my advice is to save your pennies and get an AMD 64 bit in the next 12-18 months as things will start getting 64bit intensive i reckon.... kobalt Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Quote :"How Many Years Left Before I Really Need To Upgrad " YEARS !?!?? You can rephrase that with the word months, and it's not cause of intel
