Kamikaze_Badger Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 (edited) Ten years time? Â Â Â By then, Microsoft will be ruling the world, and all Mac users would be put in concentration camps. Linux/BSD would be the underground resistance. Everyone else would all flee to other planets to escape the Neo-Nazi M$, only to be caught and vaporised on site. red930 Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 in ten years SFF computers will be so small that you could play Doom3 with UXGA quality graphics on an item that is about the same size as a gameboy with minimum of 60 FPS
Ghost2520 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 If what I hear about Long Horn proves true, I have a feeling Linux will gain a LOT of popularity. (I hear that the user agreement for Long Horn states that Microsoft has the right to turn you in for illegally downloaded music) Although I've switched from illegally downloading music ( I use iTunes) I think there are still a lot of people out there that do, and they may be just enough to make them switch to Linux. Ste Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 On the note of illegally downloaded music, instead of going after the ppl who download how bout just shuting down the file sharing servers such as limewire and kazaa wouldn't that be a faster means of stoping it. What happened after they shutdown napster? Kazaa came out. What happens after they shutdown Kazaa? Another program will come out... they can't stop it by simply doing that. They have to take money from someone.
Coolzero101 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Who wants to spend $1 on 1 mp3 on itunes, Ive spent ALOT of money on music in the past but for digital media players with big hdd's you would need to spend thousands of $ just for music. You don't have to use it for the ipod.. you can use it for anything, its just a pay for a song service.
