Bionix Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I'm almost positive that pc3200 is the highest that any xp will fully utilize. It's more dependant on the actual chip, getting that new ram probobly wont do ya much good. my $.

Bionix Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 yea but did he actually try new ram to see if it made a difference? did he know what he was doing?
bigred Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 that kinda speed out of a 2800+ is going to take more than just good ram. a GREAT board like the dfi infinity / lanparty B, a good power supply, a willing cpu, and some good cooling. I've also seen the DFI Infinity run samsung pc2700 @ 3500 specs with minor voltage adjustments. be careful with that board an voltage tweaks... it could ROAST anything if you push it too far.
