fire_storm Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Looks like a good ps I got aspire works great. I would spend $1 dollar more to get the one that is 520watts.

confuzzedintelguy Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Well i just read a review on it and it sated the only real down fall on it is the 12+ it undervolts a little like 5% on your aspire dose you vcore fluctuate much? On the psu i got now mine goes from 1.485-1.585 and is causing some stability problems after 3.4ghz on my cpu.
fire_storm Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 (edited) What kind of cpu is it? I have tested the aspire one and it has no problems. How do you tell if it malcraptions? I don t know why there are so many people who say it don t work when I see people use them in there new cases. The featers in my manual said it has: Approved by UL, CSA, TUV, CE supports INTEL & AMD short circuit/over voltage/over current protection on 100% burn-in test/hi-pot test/vibration test/least current test. ATX conector has MAX PEAK first is max second is pack V +3.3v (amps) 28A ...... +5v 30A ........... +12v 34A 37A -5v 0.3A .......... -12v 0.8A .......... +5VSB 2.0A ............ +3.3& +5V combines a load:200 watts +3.3v, +5v&12V combines load:480 TOTAL maximun output power:500 Watts  Hope this helps! confuzzedintelguy Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 That kinda helps, the best way to see if the vcore fluctuates is to open cpu-z and run a 100% load on your cpu like prime and see if it moves around allot. Like i said mine when i goto prime it will go from 1.485-1.585 up and down like a roller coaster.
fire_storm Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 (edited) My old computer that use antec 400 watts changes V core from 1.5V to 1.53V to 1.55V to 1.5V changes like that. Were that review that said it was bad could you post a link? Edited October 25, 2004 by fire_storm
confuzzedintelguy Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 It only said the 12v+ was low about 5% low http://www.ocia.net/reviews/aspirepsu/page1.shtml
fire_storm Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 (edited) OK that is the 450 watt verson shown. The one your looking at is the 500 watt verson and the one I have is the 520 watt verson. It also says not to worrie about voltage does not cause harm. Also 500 or 520 watt may be different then the 450 watt one.
