ShyGuy91284 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 (edited) The A7N8X has two temp sensors for the CPU I believe, The Asus Bach sensor (also used to sense everything else on the mobo), and the w83l785 sensor. I'm using lm_sensors in linux to get the readings from the different sensors. While compiling, the Bach sensor detected a high temp of around 40 degrees, and the w83l785 detected a temp of almost 70 degrees, a 30 degree difference. Should I be worried, or disregard the w83l785 readings? The heatsink isn't anywhere near too hot to touch. (I have a 80mm Tornando and SLK-800 HS).
