d3bruts1d Posted October 25, 2002 Posted October 25, 2002 They gateway logo is probably set in your BIOS... or on the MBR. How to disable it... who know. NTFS is better, as it supports compression and better security.
YODA74 Posted October 25, 2002 Posted October 25, 2002 I believe the Gateway logo is flashed into the BIOS. you would need to flash the BIOS with a non-OEM BIOS version to get rid of that screen??
The Shadow Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Specific text is written into manufacturers bios, do not try an OEM flash on them, there is a greater then not chance you will loose the bios. If the mother board came with a bios flashing program on a disk, it may also contain a small program to allow the changing of that screen. To my knowledge Gateway, Compaq, HP, etc. do not give you the option to change it, but you may find a utility program on the net that will help you do it safely. Stmason Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 stick with NTFS and not FAT32 . . . . as far as the logo goes, the easy way is to download XTEQ X Setup 6.2 . . . I think you can find the link to download it on the overclocker home page. there are Hundreds of different tweaks, and I believe one of them will solve your problem without having to do Bios changes. The other way is to reformat your computer without all the extra garbage . . . worked on mine
Mister_Webmaster Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 I'd say go into your BIOS and tell it not to boot silently.
