DrAwesomePhD Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 I was just trying to test my watercooling system out, however the pump has a molex connector... is there anyway i can powerup the pump without running electricity through the motherboard? Can i get the powersupply to just run electricity to the pump? I can connect the PSU and everything but how do i turn it on? kobalt Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 (edited) Yes it works , if you have another PSU just connect the green and one black in the mobo wire and your ps will start without the motherboard. it can also be attached to your main PS to start with the main ps and take the load of the WC system leaving the main to it's regular work of the important devices (mobo hdd's and other disk devices) Edited October 25, 2004 by kobalt
