BiPolar Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I've been looking for a new lcd now that my crt has blown, but I just don't have a ton of money to spend on it. I do some gaming, but not a whole lot, my pc time is mostly spent, browsing, office and imaging. Does anyone have any opinions on the following: Sceptre X9G Komodo IV BenQ FP931 Acer 1 Series AL1912bm
nVidia_Freak Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I'd go with the Sceptre. Mainly because it fairly priced, and it's good for what you do. Plus it is the cheapest one. Well, the Acer and that are tied in price, but, I'd still go with the Sceptre.
BiPolar Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 They are all around the same price, the Sceptre is 430, the BenQ 435 and the Acer 470. Have you heard of Sceptre before?
Ph33rh4x Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Ive never heard of sceptre before but it seems to have the best specs out of those 3 for the least price. It has a higher contrast ration than the other two with 700:1, highest brightness with 300 cd/m2 and fastest response time with 15ms.. seems like a good deal to me unless im missing something? BiPolar Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 and that's what i'm wondering. Everything about it seems pretty dern good, the only issue i've found is with the warranty (just 1 year limited, although it says extended is available...and ecost offers extended warranties as well)
Leldorion Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 I think you should probably go with the first one, of the ones you listed, as it has the best specs of the lot.
BiPolar Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Do you have any other suggestions in the price range? i know the specs aren't quite as good, but what about the Philips 190s5cb? Simply because the philips name is better?
