It is still factory sealed as I purchased it at a national retail store in the area. I also bought the two year replacement plan. Basically if you drop the thing in the toilet or your three year old throws it across the room, just take it back in with the receipt I'll provide and they will replace it with the exact same one on the spot. No waiting to send it back to the manufacturer or any of that junk. Now in the event that they do not have this specific model, they will issue you the next highest model at no cost.
