anthony Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 looks a bit insane? isnt that the alternate keyboard layout? edit after reading, do you have to buy a new keyboard to try this layout? like if you switch from qwerty to dvorak, on a qwerty keybaord, how woul dyou know which letter was where but does look interesting, I wana giv eit a try too
snipermav Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Thought you were referring to the classical composer Dvorak at first...
Propane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 yea, supposed to be faster than qwerty and more comfortable
sandman1485 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Just pull your keys off and put them in the corresponding places.
andrusk Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 ooops. Thought you were talking about john c. dvorak. hehe
airman Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Just pull your keys off and put them in the corresponding places. i don't thuink that would work... unless your talking get a software proggy to change all of it err somethin and THEN change the keys around. Propane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 its actually really easy to change... espically in windows... in the regional settings you can set the keyboard layout to Devork and then switch the keys around... or you can get a hard wired one but those are usually kinda expensive
Silverfox Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 is it not a bit tough to learn?
cybergrunt69 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I've had a few tech support calls where I'd go to someones desk - and they had a dvorak driver loaded - and didn't say anything about it. It is SO extremely annoying until you figure out what's going on... i have tried it, but never really got the hang of it. I'll just stick with qwerty, thanks... And, ya, I thought you mean John C Dvorak at first.
Silverfox Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 lloks like a few keys would need to be changeed completely (according to pic^^) as some of the symbols for characters would move, ie where the 'z' key would now have the '/' symbol attached to it
Propane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 no... its tough alright... they say it takes about a month to regain speed this took me about 1.5 minutes to type
