Ziggy54354 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I stumbled across this guy at newegg http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc....-130-212&depa=1 It has the ultra pcb with the 2 molexs. 256mb just like the ultra and gddr3. Softmod anyone? Has anyone given this card a shot yet? just found out it also has 1.6ns memory

Ziggy54354 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 whered you get gt outta that? It has the Non-ultra clocks but ultra pcb, heatsink, and ram. The GT has a different pcb layout because it only uses 1 molex. This one clearly has two leading me to believe its A. a broken ultra or B. the demand is low for ultra because of price so they disabled the pipelines to sell it at a lower price. ir_cow Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 thats not even a GT its just a 6800, the 12pipeline one but you could flash it to ultra and have saved yourself around 200, then again it could just be the wrong picture newegg posted

BloodySunday Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 http://www.tbreak.com/reviews/article.php?...25&pagenumber=1 Its a 6800 LE. Check out the review.
Some_Guy_ Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Not all manufacturers stick to the PCB reference designs to a tee. The clock speeds are GT, and the GT also has 256MB of Gddr3. The reference coolers are the same for all 6800 series, the standard 6800, 6800GT and 6800 Ultra.
Eva_Unit_0 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 those are NOT GT clock speeds...the gt runs at 350/1000, not 325/700. That is a very interesting card...an ultra (in essence) running at vanilla clocks. I may have to get one of those...if it can oc/flash to ultra levels, that would be incredible.
