djmastermind Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 How many of you all on the forums like Coheed & Cambria? The only people I have ever heard of disliking them don't like them because of the lead singer's voice.. <_<

markiemrboo Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Good question! Â EDIT: Â "We are Coheed and Cambria, a band based out of Nyack and Kingston New York! As a band, we are tired of the confusion! We strive to be a part of what could be the revival of our bedridden rock gods. We come to you the listeners from a part of the world where culture is only for comfort- and we are really sick of it! Coheed and Cambria has been a name carried by us for five years now. The name has been through the ringer but the band is a child ready for play. Label us what you will, whether it be indie rock, emo core, or rock fusion it is all in the name of rock and roll to us, and that is what we are determined to bring you. On this note I will describe our band."
agentorange Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I really do like their music but that high voice... just a little strange for me. I started out hating Billy Corgan's voice and now Smashing Pumpkins is one of my favorite bands so maybe I am just a little off. djmastermind Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 A lot of people can't get over the voice, so they don't like their music. It's really too bad.. Â You thought Billy's voice was strange? I guess I've been used to it since I grew up listening to them/him.
agentorange Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 It's deffinitely distictive. I was listening to the smashing pumpkins MCIS album last night and I realized they are the best band I have ever heard.

Freeder Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I think the lead singer sings passionately, and there's nothing wrong with that. I actually get moved by some of their songs.
Dasterdly Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I love the lyrics, and the '70s style music...heavy guitar and solos.
evanin Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I like them! I've seen them many times! I want hair like Claudio. His voice is a bit high, lol, ok maybe real high. They play great music, even if you dislike his voice, which is unique for the style they play. If you like Coheed you should listen to thursday.
