MindDrive Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 you should be able to overclock a 5900 easily - i got a 5900XT watercooled at the pics specs - (the ram for some reason glitches out above 850 and it doesnt really boost benchmark scores and system performance that much above 700 anyway)
RimX Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Hey...I finally got it to work...The prob was the reg hack thing...It wouldn't go through so I had to find it elsewhere.

ir_cow Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 the vid temp was only in the 6800 series, maybe its built into the core?
the11ama Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 you should be able to overclock a 5900 easily - i got a 5900XT watercooled at the pics specs - (the ram for some reason glitches out above 850 and it doesnt really boost benchmark scores and system performance that much above 700 anyway) Flashing your video BIOS with a 5950U ram will clear up that ceiling, as it increases applied voltage to the 5950U level -which is really the same card except that it has more memory; that difference will not affect the flash or how the card reads the memory. RimX Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Yea...I know how to get to it that way...I was wondering if there was any monitoring software I could use other that the stuff NVidia gives you in their control panel.
