InvaderTrax Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Well, while I was installing my VGA Silencer, I apparently tightened it too much, because I heard a "POP" sound. When I turned it on, I got moderate artifacting. I loosened the rear bracket, and the picture was normal for a short time, then went back to artifacting. I'm gonna miss that card. It was great. If anyone wants to buy either a damaged 9700 Pro (might be able to be fixed, I don't know, $50) or a custom Pentium 1 cooler (fits 9500, 9700, 9800, and possibly 9600, 9200, 9000 series cards, $10) let me know

InvaderTrax Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 still under warrenty? if so.. rma time Well, I've had it for a few months now, so I don't know about warranty. Anyway, I'd need those long pin clips for the stock hs (impossible to find) and a yellow cheese pad like ATi uses to get it fixed. If anyone has any useful info on that, please tell me
AkApUrViS Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 well just go to the store and buy you a 9700 then take the broking 9700 put it in the box and return it the next day and say something wrong with it and you have the new card and get your money back
InvaderTrax Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 But you can't get a 9700 Pro anywhere any more (and my mom would stop me... she always does)
