Im setting up a wireless netwrok for a friend who wants both her children to be able to access the web at the same time. Now i have the network set up fine both computers can connect thats not a problem. The problem is how do i get aol to sign on. its bugging me. Does anyone have the settings for aol 9.0 (uk) to access the web on a linksys router. I don't really want to call up aol as they leave you on hold for ages and im restricted for time due to work.

cheers all Owen

:withstupid:

It isn't already installed, is it? If so, REMOVE IT ASAP! Tell her to get a new credit card account and email address, to change her name, buy a bodyguard, and then move to a discreet undisclosed location. Give her a license to kill as well...

Ok, so maybe some of that isn't quite neccasarry, but still! IT'S AOHELL WE'RE TALKING ABOUT! That poor poor woman...

aol isn't THAT bad. im using it right now without problems. She is sticking with it as you have to (12 month contract).

I will agree its a major pain in the . setting up but mine works without aol running (i just access ie6) or opera when i download it again.

Well its a good thing you guys answered his question <_< Instead of telling them to go with another ISP why not supply some help instead? I know AOL isn't anywhere near a good ISP, but that is what they are using, so be more helpful than critical.

I'm sorry but I don't think there are really any AOL users here that can help you much with your problem. If so I hope they speak up.

cheers m8 i was starting to get a bit  I use aol and I don't have any problems with it! plus it has no monthly limit unlike freeserve etc. Our 12 months is almost up so we will probably upgrade to platinum (1 meg). Its all sorted now so theres no need to post. Got the service settings from aol. (1 digit difference to what was in the quick start guide typical  )
