Parrothead Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I was working on a system that caught the blaster virus. I got this cleared up and it worked like new so I handed the system back. Now it's back to me with a dead mouse and keyboard. I tried swapping keyboard's around and still nothing. Is it motherboard related? It boots up just fine, I just can't do anything because my input devices are not being recognized.
sdy284 Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Are they USB? or PS/2 i would check in the bios to see if your USB ports are disabled...same thing for the PS/2 i guess, but that sounds like a weird problem
allthatisman Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 A friend of mine had a similar problem. I think he had to reset his bios to get his stuff working again.
O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Check the enable/disable settings for each. Can you enter BIOS with a PS2 keyboard? Some USB keyboards may not allow you to enter BIOS; in this case, a PS2 keyboard will be needed.
