Whitelightning Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Been overclocking my 2500+(unlocked) for the last few days..When I oc it using a multilpier of 11x200 it runs fine, stable and no vcore adjustment...When I change the multilpier to 11.5x193 it boots into windows with no problems...after folding starts I get freezing....no big deal...up the vcore 0.25v....same thing...when ever I change the multilper the system freezes up or I loose my internet... I have the agp/pci locked at 66/33...I am using a DFI Ultra Infinity, 2x256 OCZ PC3200 with timings of 2.5-3-3-8 and have tried 2.5-3-3-11.....ATI 9600 Pro at stock and a maxtor 80gig hd sata....Load temps are only 38c using a lapped V12 Is there something I am doing wrong when changing the muliplier? Like I said, using 11x200 with no vcore adjustment the system works fine....I have had it running at 11x210 with a 0.25v vcore increase and it is stable.....It's only when I change the multiplier that I run into problems.... markiemrboo Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 There was problems with.. uh... 10 or 11(?) on the NF7 boards which has only been fixed in a modded BIOS as far as I am aware. Maybe try going to 12 and a bit more voltage?
Whitelightning Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I have done 12-13-14-15 and upped the vcore to 1.80.....same results...stable at 11 but anything beyond that is unstable....
Nerm Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 well it is better to have a lower multi and higher fsb anyway. I would leave the multi at 11 since it is stable there and raise the fsb as high as it will go.
Whitelightning Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Yeah I think your right....I am going to try a multiplier of 10 and see what it does....
