InvaderTrax Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I just wanted to remind everyone to drive safely on public roads. My friend died about two hours ago from testing the limits of his Prelude. So remember, if you want to drive fast, do it somewhere safe
ccokeman Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Sorry to hear about your friend. I never lost a friend to an accident but i see all to many kids die in accident because they think they have the skills to drive the way they see people drive in the movies. We have had 8 die in the past year in my area . Unfortunately one of them also killed a mother and her small child while racing through a bend in a 25mph area at 75mph. slugbug3311 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 My friend was driving with his other friends older brother going 110!! He said that he never wanted to ride that fast again. That would scare the crap out of me. He said they were doing 110 in a 45mph zone and at every intersection he would do a police scan while holding onto the "oh shizz" handles. But still going that much over the speed limit and dragracing is stupid. Im never gonna do that when I get my lisence.

Ziggy54354 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 drive with your head not with your d*ck. A bunch of people have asked me to race them on a highway after a friend of mine died in an accident. It pisses me off because they know dang well he died yet they don't think anything of it. Don't let your friend's death be a complete loss. Let it be a permant reminder to drive safely
InvaderTrax Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Well, apparently he stalled in the middle of the road and got hit. The weird part is that that car ran quite well, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Not sure if he was racing or not, but I'm sure I'll hear it all tomorrow
ccokeman Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 ...speed kills... Speed doesnt kill ! Differential speed is the killer. 144 was as fast as ive ever been But....I liked it. Fortunately my street racing days are long over. With a family to support i cant risk injury or death for a thrill anymore. HomerJaySimpson Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Sorry to hear about your friend. Im pretty much the same. When im on my bike, everyone thinks i have a deathwish. I've nearly been squished about 50 times and love beating sportscars asses. I have racing in my blood though, comes from my dad, we're both speedfreaks
d3bruts1d Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Wow man, sorry to hear about your loss. I know what it's like to lose someone you care about. This didn't by chance happen on Clinton Hwy (close to Emery Rd.), did it?
